Multi-Site Ministry Trial

    God seems to be placing before us an opportunity to strengthen a neighboring church in a unique way. After much prayer and dialog, the elders and members of VBC have agreed to to enter into a trial 'adoption' of Grace Bible Church of Aurora which we believe may be used by God to help both churches impact an increasing number of lives in our communities. Last fall, Grace Bible Church approached us and asked us to consider adopting them into the VBC family – and helping them to reach their own community more effectively. Please be in prayer with us as we walk cautiously into this new opportunity and see how God either affirms or redirects our efforts.

    resurgence - Resurgence - The Road to...Over the past several months the elders and members of VBC have been dialoging about a new ministry opportunity that we believe God has placed before us.  This is an opportunity to be used by God to strengthen a nearby church and help it to impact an increasing number of lives in the greater Aurora community.  Last fall, Grace Bible Church approached us and asked us to consider adopting them into the VBC family – and helping them to reach their own community more effectively.  After much prayer and dialog, we’ve made the decision to walk cautiously into this new opportunity and see how God either affirms or redirects our efforts. 

     

    Here’s the short version of what this will look like: 

    1. SAME:  the Grace Bible Church family will continue to meet in their own building;
    2. SAME:  they’ll continue to be led by a team of pastors;
    3. NEW:  we’ll begin to synchronize ministries and make available to both congregations opportunities at each location;
    4. NEW:  Grace’s leadership team will begin to work with our leadership team in planning and implementing future ministry, including men’s Bible studies, VBS, and the teaching and preaching ministries;
    5. NEW:  together we’ll seek ways to help the people of Grace to increase their impact, at the same time knowing that God will use them to increase our own impact here, as well. 

    Now that we’ve made the decision to move ahead with a trial phase, you’ll be hearing much more about this in the days ahead and we look forward to discovering together how God could use our lives to make an even greater impact in the community around us for His name!
