Tom hails from the breadbasket of the union; the good old Midwest. Though the cornfields did little to prepare him for the awesome mountain scenery of Alaska, he feels God has prepared him for the ministry at the Leadership Center.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Illinois State University, he spent two years serving in the Peace Corps as an English teacher in central Asia. For the past eight years, he has worked with at-risk youth at Mooseheart Child City and School as a live-in family teacher, support family teacher and an administrator. Tom’s passions include music, writing and helping others understand the truth and beauty of Christ. He looks forward to serving with the Tanalian Leadership Center to help level a few spiritual mountains in the lives of those living in remote Alaska.
