Paul and Linda Erickson

Serving in Mission, Warrenville

Paul and Linda Erickson have been members of SIM for more than 30 years. Most of their ministry career was invested in ministries in Bolivia. Paul was involved with local mission administration in finance and business matters as well as community development projects, leadership development and church deacon.

Linda served in several ministries in nursing including clinic administration, university teaching and mission nurse liaison for our mission family. The Ericksons returned from Bolivia in 2009 for family reasons. Our Bolivian born son, Timothy, finished 11th and 12th grade at Aurora Christian School and is now a sophomore at North Park University majoring in art. Paul’s mother turned 93 years old and lives in Peoria, IL.

Paul has been loaned from SIM to serve with Missio Nexus, one of the largest, most inclusive networks of Great Commission oriented evangelicals in North America. Missio Nexus represents approximately 200 churches, mission organizations, training centers and educational institutions with as many as 35,000 workers whose ministry touches nearly every country in the world. We are humbled and honored to play a central role in empowering the Great Commission community of North America.

One of our most visible and well received resources of Missio Nexus is a series of learning initiatives for church and mission leaders in North America. This includes web workshops that dig deeply into a topic over a period of six to eight weeks, as well as one-off webinars that provide just in time training to workers here and around the world. Paul continues to provide a valuable support service in our learning initiatives department, and will be giving significant energy to helping us tell the Missio Nexus story to churches and mission organizations who have yet to affiliate with us.

Linda is involved as a part time home health nurse caring for special needs children. Recently, she was invited to travel to Dehli, India to accompany a patient and her family for a special family reunion. The Ericksons are keenly interested in encouraging and mobilizing the church for great commission ministries.
