Corn Boil 2012

Posted by Rochelle Scott on

Corn Boil 2012 was an amazing weekend!  Several member of VBC gathered on Friday, July 27th to participate in the Corn Boil parade and opening ceremonies.  We all wore are Village Bible Church t-shirts and had a great time waving to the crowd that was gathered.  The children enjoyed seeing people they knew from the community and from church.  On Sunday, July 29th, we were able to serve the children and families of Sugar Grove by volunteering to run the games in the Kids Zone area.  It was a fun time of helping children play games and rewarding them with prizes and smiles.  Blues Clue, the dog, and Boots, the monkey from Dora the Explorer, also made appearance to the delight of the children.  Some members conducted surveys and had the opportunity to speak to those at the Corn Boil about Jesus.  Then, we ended this amazing weekend with a concert from Josh Wilson.  What a gift to worship with Josh and hundreds of other people!  Josh Wilson drew the largest concert crowd they have had on a Sunday at Corn Boil.  To God Be the Glory!  A huge thank you to all that volunteered at the Sugar Grove Corn Boil 2012.
